Constant Panoramas, the Canadian Rockies on Day 2 of the Rocky Mountain 1200
Seven o'clock Friday morning July 25 found us with 32 hours used, 600 kilometers completed and midway through the Rocky Mountain 1200 at The Crossing Restaurant and Lodge. It was a perfect time to stop for a cup of coffee and a snack. The Canadian Rockies were providing us with a constant panorama of spectacular views. Each corner and hill exposed another beautiful view.
We soon intersected a drowsy Sam Huffman who appeared to be ready for a nap on his aero bars but was still managing to turn the pedals. We said hello and soon Sam was waking up. We watched as Sam skedaddled and slowly disappeared up and over the next hill.
