Columbia Hills 300k Permanent

This is a beautiful 300 kilometer training ride with a bikely estimated 7,800 feet of elevation gain. The estimate seams low based on past experience and bikely also provides an odd estimate for the subset Bingen-Goldendale-Trout Lake route. The route goes from The Dalles to Goldendale, Glenwood, Trout Lake, The Dalles, Hood River and finishes at The Dalles.

The route begins at The Dalles Bridge where there is parking at the abandoned restaurant just west of McDonnald's. There are several 24-7 mini marts at the bridge so it should be easy to get a receipt for start and finish times. The final 75 kilometers is an out and back to Hood River where the turn around is the Safeway where you can rest up and prepare for the final 25 miles.

Update: RUSA approved #372
