Bicycle Fatalities in Portland Oregon

I don't often read the Portland newspaper but it seams that when I do, there is often a story about another cyclist fatality. This Saturday the newspaper reported the death of a 19-year old college student run over by a cement truck turning right an a intersection. The blog comments make have very relevant discussion. All observations not withstanding, failing to yield the right of way to a cyclist in the bike lane is a crime. Since this was Portland, there can be little doubt the driver of the cement truck was not cited by the police.

You can Google anything and almost always find what your looking for. Apparently there is an exception involving traffic fatalities and bicycles. You would think that with a problem as important as the number of cycling deaths in Portland Oregon, there would be some trace in Google. Heh, guess not. Try googling this: Wankers Portland Oregon.
